Ok, I know…
I’ve decided to remove the year designation from the burger tour. Burgers are serious things, and I just can’t be chained down to a specific timetable for reviewing them. As I meet and eat new and exciting burgers, I’ll post them here with the standard format review and pictorial. Same ratings stand, from 1 to 5 burgers.

I hope to bring this tour back with a vengeance, so if there is anyone out there still reading, expect to see some more action in the coming months.

This is it ladies and gentlemen, the first official year of guaranteed activity on an annual basis… The Great Burger Tour is leaving Beta testing and hitting final release! Welcome to The Third Annual Iditarod® of Burger Joints!

Way back in 2005, in my “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday…” post over on Bossa Nova, I outlined an idea for a Great Burger Tour. The plan was to hit as many burger joints as I could, and document their offerings here on this blog. This page is a centralized location for checking up on my progress, reading the reviews, and checking out the photo logs of each stop on the tour.

It really is a simple matter. I’ll be rating each burger, and burger joint, on a scale of one though five burgers as designated by this image:

1 burger being “not worth the trip” to 5 burgers, which would designate a “must have” burger.

So what is so different this year? Well let me tell you…

I no longer live in Boston. I now reside in sunny Lake Havasu City, Arizona. But, friends and family are still back east. How does that affect the Great Burger Tour? Can you say annual road trips? Well I certainly can

In about one month, the Lovely Wife® and I will be hitting the road for the east coast. There are a lot of burger joints in this country, and when one crosses my path, you can be sure to find my take on it right here. Of course, there are some great burger joints on this side of the country, and I’ll be documenting those as well.

So, without further ado… Let the tour begin!

I’ve created this page as a centralized location for checking up on my progress, reading the reviews, and checking out the photo logs of each stop on the tour. Because of my utter failure at completing my list in 2005, I have decided to continue the tour for 2006!

I’ll be rating each burger, and burger joint, just as I did last year; on a scale of one though five burgers as designated by this image:
